Nichole Peralta, M.A., LIMHP, LPC, LADC, CCTP
I’m an independently licensed mental health practitioner and licensed alcohol and drug counselor with 10 years of experience providing mental health and substance use therapy. I offer individual therapeutic services to both youth and adults experiencing a variety of concerns including but not limited to: alcohol and substance use, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and loss, habit changing and goal setting, women’s issues, identity exploration, anger management and conflict resolution.
I am committed to holistic therapeutic approaches that provide respect and empowerment. My goal is to help each person discover and develop her or his own inner resources and capacity for healing and growth. I work with the entire person, honoring the mind, body, and soul. I use a respectful and collaborative approach and utilize a variety of treatment methods.
These may include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), play therapy, active listening, humor, writing, reading, role-play, and visualization. At times I may also use body-centered techniques, breathing, movement, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing), and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).
